What is metabolic health?

Metabolic health refers to the body’s ability to efficiently produce and use energy while keeping key systems - such as blood sugar regulation, insulin response, and lipid metabolism - working in harmony. These processes influence how you feel day to day and how your body supports long-term health.

Optimising metabolic health is essential for sustained energy, metabolic balance, and healthy aging.

Natural GLP-1 Modulator

Feiolix® supports GLP-1 activity through three complementary biological mechanisms:

Abscisic Acid (ABA)

A naturally occurring signalling compound that encourages the release of GLP-1 from both intestinal L-cells and pancreatic beta cells. By binding to GLUT4 receptors it stimulates glucose absorption and by binding to LANCL2 receptors it stimulates GLP-1 secretion. Over 84 in-vitro pre-clinical and clinical studies have linked ABA with glycaemic control.

Ellagitannins

Plant-derived polyphenols that are transformed by good gut microbes into urolithins, compounds known to support healthy insulin signalling pathways like insulin secretion from the pancreas and further stimulating GLP-1 secretion.

Dietary Fibre (Xyloglucans)

A specialised prebiotic fibre from the cell walls of feijoas that nourishes beneficial gut bacteria. Specifically targets propionate-producing gut bacteria and promotes the production of short-chain fatty acids, like propionate, further stimulating GLP-1. Additionally, signalling molecule PYY is stimulated, which crosses the blood brain barrier and contributes to the reduction of disruptive hunger signalling leading to increased feelings of satiety.
